Santa Barbara, CA - April 28th, 2006 - VIMA Technologies, Inc. announced today that ImageFilter™ v4.0 is out of beta testing and is now available for broader distribution. ImageFilter™ for Objectionable Images is the leading automatic image filter for detecting and scoring images relative to their objectionable nature, specifically pornographic. As with all VIMA products, ImageFilter™ v4.0 is available for both Linux and Windows environments.

In the past, VIMA has announced long-term contracts with IntelliReach Corporation of Dedham , MA and Group Technologies AG of Karlsruhe, Germany. More recent contracts have not been made public, but the demand for blocking pornography continues to grow. Unfortunately they’re right about lucrative, but the repercussions relative to the exploitation of humans for voyeuristic entertainment is a largely ignored human disaster.
