ImageTrainer is an Industry First -- VIMA Releases Software so that "Anybody" Can Create Custom Image Classifiers

Santa Barbara, CA - May 30th, 2006:  VIMA Technologies, Inc. announced today that ImageTrainer v4.0 is out of beta testing and is now available for broader distribution. ImageTrainer is a simplified application for creating image classifiers which then can be used to block objectionable image, add metatags to images, for quality control on image ingestion, or for many other applications which require recognizing a visual distinctions among images. Media Bakery Offers Revolutionary Visual Search

VIMA continues patent filings to protect its intellectual property.

Consistent with its strategy of protecting the technology it has developed, VIMA Technologies is preparing to file its fourth patent application covering proprietary aspects of its visual image recognition and retrieval software technology.  To date, VIMA has two pending patents, and one provisional application.  VIMA intends to continue to pursue all forms of intellectual property protection for the cutting-edge research-based technology it continues to develop.
