VIMA Face recognition achieves a 99% accuracy under controlled conditions (frontal face, normal illumination, and high image resolution). Faces captured under uncontrolled conditions (e.g. faces seen in personal photos), the recognition accuracy is still above 90%. Moreover, our SDK supports multiple platform including Windows, Linux and embedded systems. We also support parallel computing for real-time query on huge face collections.

VIMA Technologies, Inc. announced today that vmFace™ v1.0 completes its beta testing phase and is now available for broader distribution. vmFace™ provides the following functionalities for users to build their own face recognition applications:
• Face Detection: detecting human faces in an image or a video frame
• Eye Localization: localizing eyes in detected face areas for alignment purposes
• Face Feature Extraction: extracting "DNAs" of an aligned face
• Face Similarity Computation: comparing "DNAs" of two faces for recognition applications

VIMA licences "vmFace" SDK on an annual subscription basis.
